Wow, so its been a looooonng time since I have posted! Whoops! Sorry! THings have been so busy busy busy this last summer and now Texas (which she prefers to be called now instead of Texie) is in kindergarten! She LOVES school and playing with new friends. I am struggling with finding a routine for my family and its making me a little crazy! I picked up a new hobby and so far I love it! I just finished taking a couple of photography courses and have taken a few pictures over the last few weeks. It has been a blast. I thought I would post a teaser while I work on editing some more. Big Graduate

Texie graduated from Grandma's Preschool the other day. We had a little ceremony where the kids sang a song and threw their "caps" in the air. They loved it! And they got a couple little presents. You can tell how well her mom knows her by the smile on her face when she opened her nail polish. haha. Silly girl. I love her sweet face and cannot believe that she will be a big kindergartener!! She is getting freckles on her nose and I just love them to death. I love to kiss them and am sad to think that soon she won't want me to do that anymore. I love my baby girl.

I was gone for the 24th but the kids got to ride in the parade down main street. Aunt Jessi rode with them on Aunt Jac's bike with Jasers and Gatlin in the pull behind. They had so much fun and Ty was just busting his buttons on how big Truxton was riding the bike all the way down main street for the first time. (and with a flat tire...whoops!) Gotta love Utah and the extra day of fireworks and fun.

We were having a blast today having a pretend photo shoot. Gatlin wasn't always having fun, but we tried to get some cute pics of him. Truxton was trying to show off his muscles. It was so funny to watch his face! I love my kids! They are so fun. Being a mom is the best job ever! I had a great Mother's Day! I hope everyone else did too.

We had lots of fun this Easter. We went to Green River and had Easter/birthday/reunion with the Reays. The kids had a blast riding 4-wheelers, swimming in the pool at the hotel, hunting for the easter bunny and then the eggs and playing with cousins. It was good to see everyone again and we had a great time.

Gatlin's 1st birthday!

March 13th was Gatlin's 1st birthday! We had so much fun celebrating with our family. Gatlin wasn't sure he wanted to get dirty at first, but he liked his big cupcake. His favorite was the balloons of course and his toy drum that he got. He loves playing with it. It was been such a good year. He is such a good little boy and we all love him. Happy birthday baby boy!!

Texie told Ty she wanted to go riding the other day, so Ty went and caught her horse and took the kids out for a quick ride around the farm to check on the new calves. They loved it until they got too cold. We can't wait for summer to get here!!

My little smiley boy. Gatlin is almost nine months old. This will be his first christmas and we are so excited. He opened a present last night and thought that was pretty cool!

This has been such a great year for us. We have been so blessed! To finish up the year we are hopefully going to meet our new niece Paige!!!

Homemade binoculars are easy and so fun. The kids loved them!

Truxton liked the birds until they flew RIGHT over his head...then he was a little nervous.

Texie got to give the bird a dollar and it took it right out of her hand. She thought it was so neat.

We went camping up Rock Creek with Jessi and Cole. We took the kids fishing and stayed in our campin. It was fun and the kids had a blast. They loved fishing with their little poles.

The other day Jessi, Margaret and I were sewing while the kids played outside. After a bit we couldn't hear them anymore. Jessi went looking for them and this is where she found them. They were in the haystack playing and feeding the cows. She followed them around and took pictures without them knowing. They are little farm buddies.

This was our day in Texas. We had to take a picture of the Texas sign of course! Then we stopped at the Lubbock, Texas temple for a photo op. and a quick break. It was a pretty temple. The kids have done REALLY well so far on this trip. Thats a picture of them both catching some Zzzzs. The last picture is of Ty's friend Mike Gerwig and his wife Anel with their twins Diana and Daniella. They also have a little girl that is 4 which I forgot to get a picture of. Her name is Isabelle. Texie had a blast playing with her and Truxton loved the little babies. They were very cute.

We got our new puppy on Saturday morning. He is such a cutie!! He wants to play and lick the kids to death. We are thinking of naming him Trip because we got him on our trip...but we'll see. We had to take this picture of the sign for Tulsa. We knew he'd love to see his name on a real sign.

Church History exploring day

This was our crazy day. We went to the Independence, Missouri LDS visitors center first(pic of kids on wagon). They had a neat presentation on families. Then we went up to Jamesport, where it actually turns out we missed all of the things we wanted to see.(mostly because it was so windy and cold that we were hurrying) We did see the horses with the closed in buggy(it was freezing and windy you can't blame them for being closed in) We stopped at a couple wood working shops where Ty bought me a rolling pin or a husband tamer as the man who sold it called it. :o) From there we went on to Nauvoo and didn't get there until after dark and quite late. We took a rushed picture outside the temple and drove around trying to see things in the dark. It was still neat, but we wish we would have seen things when it was light. It was a VERY long, but fun day.

Kansas City

We stopped at the Bass Pro Shop in Kansas City, Kansas. It was REALLY neat. It must be a brand new one because it was really fancy. We also stopped at the Cabelas there and it was really nice also. The mule deer museum was awesome. Horns everywhere! Texie liked the African safari scene and the aquarium the best because the aquarium had a turtle in it. The kids have been doing amazingly well on this trip. Truxton has a hard time sometimes because he is getting new teeth and he just gets restless after a bit. Other than that we have been having a blast!

We have been on the road and headed back east to pick up a puppy in Missouri. The first night we stayed with Ty's friends the Haeberles. They took us into Vail and we walked around the little shopping village they had there. There were heated sidewalks and the slopes went right down into the shops. It was crazy. We took a picture by the ice sculpture they had there. Martin told us he heard it cost them $50,000. We stopped next in Denver at Ty's great uncle Lyman Davies' diner. He has sold it since, but it is still called Davies Diner. We stopped by the Kansas sign and took a picture. One of the ONLY state signs we had any warning was coming up...so pretty much the only one we got a picture of. This trip has been fun. We are currently in Oklahoma, I'll try to download more pictures later! Come along and enjoy our trip with us!

Papa R's funeral

Ty's Grandpa, John R Davies, passed away on December 30, 2008. He will be missed a great deal. Ty and Dee rode behind the carriage leading Grandpa's horse with his chaps and hat on the saddle. It was very touching. The service was beautiful and a real tribute to a great man. We love our Papa R.
